When we pray do we slow down to consider who we are praying to? Do we pray only in light of the here and now? Do we come with a hidden agenda, hoping to convince God to give us His stamp of approval? Jesus directs His followers to remember who they are praying to, to pray in light of eternity and to have an attitude of trust. While His followers' prayers might not always line up with this pattern, Jesus’ instructions provide a pathway for growth.
