This sermon uses Simeon and Anna’s encounter with the infant Jesus (Luke 2:22–38) as a model for a hope that stands the test of time. Simeon demonstrates unshakeable hope, waiting patiently for God’s promise despite long delays, while Anna exemplifies unlimited hope, boldly sharing the good news without hesitation and beyond human circumstances and limits. Together, their lives show that true Christian hope is un-temporarily (eternal), rooted not in passing circumstances but in the everlasting promises of God. Through their examples, believers are encouraged to be steadfast, bold, and eternally focused, trusting God’s perfect timing and purpose because of Jesus, our Savior and Eternal Hope.
